About SavingPort
The deals a knowledgeable friend would actually send you.
There is no shortage of UK deal sites. There is a shortage of ones that tell you when a deal is not worth it.
SavingPort started from a simple frustration: most deal sites are measured by how many offers they list. That incentive produces pages of noise — reset RRPs, multibuys that need you to buy things you do not want, and “sales” that have been running since spring.
A small team looks at around 140 UK offers a day and publishes the handful that survive an actual check. Every deal carries a verdict written by a person, the conditions that matter, and a timestamp. When the honest answer is “wait”, we say wait.
We are a UK publisher, not a retailer. We never handle your purchase, your payment or your data beyond an email address if you choose to give us one.
What we hold ourselves to
Trustworthy
We only publish what we have checked, and we show when we checked it. If we get something wrong, we correct it and say so.
Clear
Plain English, no jargon, no invented urgency. If a deal has a catch, the catch is in the first two lines.
Useful
A saving is only useful if you were going to buy the thing. We say when the answer is probably no.
Selective
Nine in ten offers are rejected. A short list you can read in three minutes beats a long one you never open.
