How it works
Most deals don’t survive the check.
That is the whole point. SavingPort exists to be the short list, not the long one. Here is exactly what happens between an offer appearing and it reaching this site.
- 100%
- opened by a person
- 7 days
- an ended deal stays marked, before removal
- 0
- countdown timers or fake urgency
The five steps
- 01
We look at everything
Retailer feeds, newsletters, price trackers and reader tips. Roughly 140 UK offers pass the desk on a normal weekday. Nothing is published at this stage.
- 02
We check what looks promising
A person opens the offer at the retailer, confirms the live price, compares it against what the item has actually sold for recently, reads the terms, and tests any voucher code in a real basket.
- 03
We reject most of it
Around nine in ten are dropped. The usual reasons: an inflated ‘was’ price, a saving that only works if you buy three, stock that has already gone, or terms that undo the offer.
- 04
We publish what survives, with the catch
Each deal gets a plain-English verdict, the reasons it made the list, the conditions that matter, and a timestamp showing when it was last confirmed.
- 05
We re-check and remove
Live deals are re-checked regularly. When one ends, it stays visible for seven days marked as ended, then comes off the site.
