How this site works, in plain English

Every deal published on SavingPort has been opened at the retailer by a person. We confirm the live price, compare it with what the item has recently sold for, read the terms, test any voucher code in a real basket, and record the time of the check.

The timestamp shown on each deal is the last time that check was repeated. Prices can change at any moment, so we always show the check time rather than claiming a price is guaranteed.

SavingPort currently uses ordinary retailer links and does not receive commission from them. If affiliate links are introduced later, they will be clearly identified.

Commission plays no part in whether a deal is published, how it is written, or where it appears. A retailer cannot pay for a place on the list.

SavingPort is written by people, not by retailers. No retailer, brand or agency sees a deal page before it is published, and none has any right of approval over what we write.

Our verdicts include the reasons not to buy. We do not accept payment for coverage, placement, ranking or wording.

Prices, savings and availability reflect what we confirmed at the time of checking. Retailers change prices without notice and stock sells out.

Always confirm the price, terms and delivery cost at the retailer before you buy. SavingPort is not the seller and cannot complete, amend or refund a purchase.

If you sign up to the Friday email we store your email address and nothing else. We do not sell or share it, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe.

We use privacy-respecting analytics. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not use cross-site tracking.

If we publish something wrong, we correct it and note the correction on the page.
